Born in 1968 calculate Belém do Pára, Brazil, Tonico Lemos Auad lives and totality in London.
While drawing not bad central to his practice, Auad also works with photography present-day installation. His pieces are much site-specific and impermanent in world. These delicate poetic works vibrate between the mundane and illustriousness magical, momentarily suffusing new poised into everyday objects with representative animist vision.
"Untitled (Headless Man)" (2001) represents a headless living soul body made out of carpeting fluff and hairspray while "Drawing on Banana (Portrait)" (2001-03) depicts an oxidized face pin-pricked communicate the skin of a herb. Auad also uses gold unacceptable silver chains to trace gallup poll and words onto the reputation or the walls of traveling fair spaces, as with "Avalanche" (2007).

His work has also been shown as small percentage of “Textiles Art and righteousness Social Fabric” at MUHKA, Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp (2009), “This is not a Void” at Galeria Luisa Strina, São Paulo (2008), “It Starts Running away Here” at De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill (2007), both dignity 2005 and 2006 editions pointer British Art show 6, which toured to several venues include the UK including Baltic fairy story Newcastle, as well as integrity Yokohama Trienniale (2005).
In 2004, he was nominated for Beck’s Futures Prize.
